“Price Is Always Right!” I have been trained in both Fundamental Research (sales, expenses, earnings, cash flow, etc.) and Technical Research (price trend, momentum, sentiment, price patterns, etc.).

Generally speaking, Fundamentals tell you what to buy or sell and Technicals tell you when to buy or sell. Both approaches are used at Lexington Capital, but the dominant approach is Technical.

The reason for this is that Price does not lie. If a company has great sales and earnings, but the price of the stock is going down, I do not want to own it because Price is the only way I can invest in the company. As a result, I put a great deal of focus on Price and the quality of a company’s Price action.

Investment Philosophy

Macro/Micro - Investment recommendations are formed from both the top down and bottom up approach, which determines what kind of risk to take each month. This is accomplished with the Lexington Capital Market Risk Indicator (LexCap MRI) (see Investment Models). If the LexCap MRI gives a green light, we look to take more risk, but if the LexCap MRI gives a red light, we become defensive with our investment strategies.
